Tragic diva Whitney Houston's daughter is planning a duet with her late mother in a bid to launch her career as a singer.

Bobbi Kristina Brown, 19, will record her vocals over Whitney's 1985 track ?'Saving All My Love for You', the hit that helped turn her into a worldwide star.

She aims to replicate the success of Natalie Cole, 62, who did the same with her late father Nat King Cole's trademark song 'Unforgettable', which became a major hit for her, reported online media.

Bobbi, Whitney's daughter with her ex-husband, R&B singer Bobby Brown, 43, is being backed by her mentor and family friend Tyler Perry, 43, who has built a TV film and music empire in America.

He will oversee studio production of Bobbi overlaying her vocals on her mother's original Number 1 hit.

"She knows this song set her mother on the road to phenomenal success. She believes their duet can do the same for her," a source said.

But Madison Clark, who was an assistant to Whitney, said, "I wish Bobbi every success. But I don't think she can even hope of emulating her mom."

Whitney drowned in a Beverly Hills hotel bathtub in February at the age of 48 after a drug overdose.
