Attempt to bribe Kapil Sibal!

HRD Ministry has filed an FIR in Parliament Street Police Station in N Delhi against a man who has tried to bribe Kapil Sibal, the Minister.

A man named Umesh has written a letter from Ranchi to Kapil Sibal along with a cheque of Rs one lakh asking him to promote him to the post of Registrar of a university in Jharkhand. The cheque could be encashed if I man promoted, he has said.

Taking serious view of the matter, HRD Ministry filed a complaint with the police commissioner RS Gupta of Delhi who got an FIR lodged in the parliamentary station police station. A Delhi police team has left for Jharkhand to arrest the man and enquire the matter.

The cheque is from Canara bank and it landed straight to official address of HRD Ministry in N Delhi.

Readers can recall that Kapil Sibal was on the forefront of failed negotiations with Anna team on Jan Lok Pal issue. Many view it as a prank played on Sibal against his known stand on Lok Pal issue.
