Arun Jaitley debates Lokpal Bill in Rajya Sabha

The debate on amended Lokpal Bill has been underway in the Upper House of the Parliament on Thursday.

Union Minister Narayansamy initiated the debate in the Rajya Sabha.

At this moment Leader of opposition in The Rajya Sabha, Arun Jaitley, has been suggesting amendments in the Lokpal Bill to make it stronger.

Counting several loopholes, Jaitley said that this bill will make Lokpal a puppet of the government.

He said that government should accept the amendments recommended by the Opposition to make a strong Lokpal Bill.

He said that bill is prepared with half-hearted manner and it could not be accepted. Jaitley said that sense of the nation should be taken into the consideration.
