Girl is communicating with doctors and nurses by writing because she is till not in a position to talk. She is still in critical condition, and doctors say that the next 48 hours will be critical.
The victim has undergone four major surgeries since yesterday.Doctors said "After the operation,she asked the senior Delhi police officer by writing who has come to enquire about her condition ,whether all the culprits have been arrested or not ."
Delhi police officials said that "during the incident both the girl and the boy fought bravely with the culprits "
After making some derogatory remarks, the accused got into a fight with the girl and her friend. Although the girl's male friend fought bravely, he was overpowered by the accused. "They stopped the bus at the Munirka bus stand and told them that the bus was going to Dwarka. The couple thought that it was a public carriageway. The bus driver and his friends started misbehaving with the couple after a while," Delhi Police Commissioner Neeraj Kumar said.
Doctors treating the 23-year-old victim of a brutal gangrape incident in Delhi say that the extent of injuries on the girl are completely shocking, and that the men involved clearly had strong psychopathic tendencies and she has intestinal damage after being repeatedly hit with a blunt object on her abdomen.
The father of one of the accused in the brutal gangrape of a 23-year-old paramedical student from Dehradun on Tuesday said that if his son is guilty, he must be punished. Hari Ram Sharma, father of accused Vinay Sharma, said, "We had no idea about the incident. If he is responsible for this, he should be given the toughest possible punishment. But if he is innocent, he should be let off."
Delhi Police Commissioner Neeraj Kumar said four people had been arrested for what is amongst the most horrific rape incidents ever reported.
Those arrested were bus driver Ram Singh, his brother Mukesh, fruit seller Pawan Gupta and Vinay Sharma, an instructor in the Delhi government-run gym in Siri Fort. Two others, Akshay Thakur and Raju, were absconding.
A Delhi Court later sent the main accused Ram Singh to five days police custody.
The four accused will be tried in a fast-track court with day-to-day hearings, Police commissioner neeraj Kumar said, adding that the police would seek life imprisonment.
As the interrogation continues , police sources said that the prime accused in the case Ram Singh has admitted to assaulting the girl and her male friend after losing control.
As per a report in the newspaper , 33-year-old Singh is a volatile man and his friends call him "mental".
Ram Singh, the driver of the bus, his brother Mukesh,Vinay Sharma, an assistant gym instructor and Pawan Gupta, a fruit seller, were on a "joy ride" on Sunday night when they crossed Munirka bus stop where the paramedic student and her male friend were waiting for a bus to Dwarka.
"Ram Singh shouted that the bus was going to Dwarka and asked the couple to get into it. Once the bus started moving,they started misbehaving with the girl. Her male friend who,protested and tried to save the girl, was severely beaten up.The girl also tried hard to protect him," Kumar said.
