Swine flu claims two more lives

Two more people died of the H1N1 virus in Delhi on Monday, taking the swine flu toll to 35 in the city.

With another 20 patients testing positive, the count of laboratory confirmed swine flu cases in the city has risen to 1,165 so far this year.

"A child who was undergoing treatment in the Chacha Nehru Bal Chikitsalya was among the two who succumbed to H1N1 virus on Monday. The other patient was admitted to Sir Ganga Ram hospital. Both were residents of Delhi," Dr Debashish Bhattacharya, Delhi government's nodal officer for H1N1 cases, said.

"With this, the toll in the city alone is 22 as of now," he said, adding 13 outstation flu patients also died in city hospitals.
